Ah, well, allegedly, there was a plan to build a real actual
life-sized starship Enterprise in Las Vegas in 1992.

It fell out from the fear that if it flopped there'd be an
unimaginable white elephant littering up Las Vegas, which seems absurd,
given that it'd only be a $150,000,000 starship Enterprise sitting in
the middle of the desert.

Well, if they had gone through with it, it would have taken
$250,000,000 to redo it as the JJ Abrams Enterprise!
